(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Football's governing body FIFA has opened the bidding process for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2019 as well as seven more competitions, which are the FIFA Club World Cups from 2015 to 2018, the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2017, the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 2018 and the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup 2018. The 209 member associations have been invited to submit their interest.
The Women's World Cup 2019 is being staged in Canada next year, and under FIFA guidelines, will preferably be hosted by the same country as the Under-20 Women's World Cup 2018. But it says it "reserves the right to award the hosting of the events separately". Declarations of interest must be submitted for hosting these two competitions by April 15.
Signed bidding documents will need to be handed to FIFA by October 31, with a decision made at the first Executive Committee meeting in early 2015. Bids for the Under-17 Women's World Cup 2018 will also follow the same bid timeline. FIFA is also looking for bids for the four Club World Cups from 2015. It wants one country to host the 2015 and 2016 competitions, and another to host the 2017 and 2018 editions.
Morocco hosted in 2013, and will do so again in December of this year. Interested member associations are asked to submit a declaration of interest by March 30. The complete set of bidding documents must be provided to FIFA by August 25, with its Executive Committee choosing the two winning bids the following month. The biennial Beach Soccer World Cup 2017 is the other tournament which FIFA has opened out bidding for.
Sixteen teams will compete and one stadium is needed. FIFA says the "location of the venue should reflect the sun, sea and sand of the Copacabana beach, the birthplace of beach soccer". Declarations of interest are needed by April 15, with definitive bids submitted by October 1. The host will be chosen by the Executive Committee at its meeting in December.
