Kuwait- Man acquitted

(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Criminal Court presided over by Judge Nayef Al-Adwani acquitted an unidentified individual of allegedly humiliating a teacher and threatening to murder her.

The plaintiff lawyer explained during the court session that the defendant insulted his client and threatened to murder her, adding that his client had withdrawn the case. The first witness who is the school principal revealed that a dispute broke out between the plaintiff and the defendant's wife. However, the defendant denied the charges, indicating that disputes often occur between his wife and the plaintiff in the school because the latter misbehaves with his daughter who is a student of the school.

During the court session, the plaintiff lawyer demanded a civil temporary compensation of KD 5001, while the defense Lawyer Mohammad Al-Duwaihi requested the court to acquit his client due to lack of evidence against his client. The court based its decision on the lack of evidence and existence of doubts over the accusations.

It stressed that it cannot depend on the testimony given by the first witness especially since the defendant denied the charges
