OECD Inflation hits 1.7 percent


(MENAFN) Consumer prices in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) increased by 1.7 percent in the year to January 2014, Xinhua reported



The OECD said that consumer prices went up 0.1 percent when compared to prices in the year to December 2013



The inflation of energy prices increased to 2.1 percent last month, up from 1.7 percent in the month before it



Food prices inflation, however, went down to 1.4 percent in the month, marginally down from 1.5 percent in December
