Qatar: Dialogue is the Optimal Key to Resolve Iran's Nuclear Issues

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar has reiterated its firm position to the effect that all differences over Iran's nuclear programme could be resolved via dialogue and diplomacy which proved success.

This came in an address Qatar's Governor to the IAEA Board of Governors Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Hassan Al-Hammadi, at the spring session of IAEA Board of Governors meeting ,within the agenda item for the implementation of the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) safeguards agreement between IAEA and Iran before the spring session of the Board of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) currently in progress in Vienn

In his address, Al-Hammadi said implementing the joint safeguards agreement signed on 11/11/2013 by Iran and the Agency and between Iran and the 3+3 Group's Joint Plan of Action on 24/11/2013, will hopefully lead to a final solutio

This is vital to restore the international community's confidence that Iran's nuclear programme is exclusively for peaceful purpose, he said, stressing meantime that substantive progress in the implementation of the conventions and the rest of the commitments will srongly support credibility of the agency and the NP

He said that the preservation of the Non-Proliferation Treaty is a collective responsibility and a full achievement of its objectives such as the Middle East nuclear weapon free zone (MENWFZ) and the taking of the serious steps toward nuclear disarmament requires parallel and balanced work to implement all its items to reach a world free of nuclear weapon

Qatar has called on the international community and the 3 +3 group in particular to deal with the same level of responsibility and greater attention with the Nuclear reactors in the Middle East countries and working seriously to achieve the goal of MENWFZ, Al-Hammadi added
