(MENAFN-Khaleej Times) A mother claiming persistent starvation, hunger and poverty killed her two children in the upscale Johar Town area of Lahore on Wednesday
Police said the accused strangulated her 8-month-old son and 2-year-old daughter.
The resident of Johar Town E Block, Bismah, told police that her husband was a drug addict and continued starvation and hunger forced her to commit the inhuman act of killing her own children. “For three consecutive days I have not been able to feed them and felt impelled to end their lives”, she said. Her husband was sleeping in the same room.
