Iran transfers 11 m tons of goods in 11 months


(MENAFN) Iran has transferred 11 million tons of commodities in the first eleven months of the current Iranian calendar, according to Tehran Times



Figures showed a 5 percent rise year-on-year in transferred goods during the period



Goods transferred by roads were 96 percent of total goods, 30 percent higher than the same period in 2012



The majority of transited consignments were of fuel, construction materials, cotton, home appliances, and vehicles



The country's earnings of transferred goods by ports are estimated at about USD560 million annually
