Vietnam's wood exports increase 8.4 percent


(MENAFN) Vietnamese wood and timber products exports surged 8.4 percent in the first 2 months of this year, Xinhua reported



The country's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) said that wood exports hit USD769 million in the period



Vietnam's largest wood and timber products importer was the US as around USD186.67 million worth of products were exported to the US, accounting for 30 percent of total exports



Vietnam exported wood products worth USD90.56 million to China, increasing 60.3 percent from the same period a year ago and making it the second largest importer of Vietnamese wood and timber products
