SciTech show on Oman TV helping youths plan future, says host

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Constantin Schreiber, host of television series SciTech: The World of Tomorrow aired on Oman TV says the programme has become a forum for youths to enquire about future job prospects.

The programme, now in its third season, showcases developments in science, technology and research. ''In Oman and Egypt, where SciTech is being aired, viewers approach us with very specific questions, such as what to study and where to study in order to meet the requirements of the job market.

''We are now in our third year of production. When I think of the journey with SciTech since 2012, I am more than happy with what we have achieved. Our show has become a part of the media landscape in Oman and Egypt and we can look to the future with much optimism and expand it further.''

Schreiber said topics chosen for the show are relevant to every country. ''Science and education matter for every country, and the efforts we put into these areas today will influence the future of our societies wherever we are. Gulf countries are emphasising on science and technology because they have realised the importance of equipping the younger generation with skills that match international standards. And this is where we come in, we show a wide range of topics and opportunities,'' he said.

The programme is telecast every first and second Fridays
