Qatar Tourism Authority Holds Global Art Forum in Katara


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar Tourism Authority's Office of Strategic Cultural Relations announced Sunday that it is launching the 8th Global Art Forum 2014 in Katara in Doha.



The forum is hosted in partnership with Art Duba



Global Art Forum takes place on March 15-16 at Katara Art Center in Doha as part of the activities of Qatar-Brazil 2014 Year of Cultur



The Forum is known as the leading regional platform for cultural debate and one of the most innovative of arts conferences worldwid



Global Art Forum 2014 features participants from the worlds of art, architecture, film, literature, history, theatre and commentar



Following the two days in Doha, the Forum then moves to Art Dubai from March 19-2



This year's forum is entitled "Meanwhile...History." In 2014, the Forum sets out to create an imagined timeline of turning points in history significant decades, years or days that shifted an understanding of the worl



It will provide reflections on the philosophy and the fiction of history makin



As a whole, the Forum becomes a journey through known and unknown histories, of critical change and seismic moment



The Authority held a press conference today, with Aisha Ghanem Al Attiya of the Office of Strategic Cultural Relations to discuss the details of the foru



She said that the forum is part of the events of Qatar-Brazil 2014 Year of Cultur



She added that the previous two cultural years with Japan and England were aiming to help people get to know different cultures. She added that the 8th Global Art Forum 2014 was hosted in Qatar as part of a strategic partnership with Art Dubai
