Tunisia's Esperance Crowned African Champions League


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Tunisia's Esperance have won the African Champions League after a 3-2 win over Gor Mahia at the Nyayo Stadium on Saturday.



Uganda Cranes striker Dan Sserunkuma's scored for Gor Mahia in the 14th minute before Ahmed Akaichi's equalize



Yannick Ndjeng made it 2-1 for Esperance in the 63rd minute before Haron Shakava levelled for 2-2. It was Haithen Jouwi's 89th minute goal that made the difference, giving Esperance the edge, the BBC reporte



In another match, eight times winners Al Ahly of Egypt slumped to a shock 1-0 defeat to Young Africans in the first leg of the Caf African Champions League first round tie at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam. Skipper Nadir Haroub 'Cannavaro' scored the goal eight minutes before full tim



Al Ahly, who are seeking a record third consecutive Champions League trophy, have been struggling in their domestic Leagu
