Qatar Wins Gold Medal in West Asian C'ship for Billiard Games


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar's Billiard team A made impressive performance in the prestigious West Asian Championship for Billiard Games (8-9 balls) 2014 to win gold medal in the teams event at the championship conclusion in Doha on Friday. The Qatari team A comprising, Bashar Hussain and Ali Al Obaidly showed widely - praised performance to defeat their Kuwaiti counterparts Badr Al Al Owadi and Abdulatif Al Yousef (11-6) in the final match held on Friday. On the same track of victory, Qatar billiard team B consisted from Abdulatif Al-fawal and Mohammed Saieed won the bronze medal in the billiard teams event, while Qatar team A comprising Mohsen Bokshaisha and Mahanna Al Obaidely seized the bronze medal in snooker teams event. Mohammed Al Ramzani, the President of Qatar Billiard and Snooker Federation (QBSF), Mohammed Salem Al-Nuaimi, QBSF Secretary General crowned the top winners in a festive sport scene. The prestigious championship brought together 60 players representing 12 countries , including hosts Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Iran, KSA, Iraq, Lebanon, Oman, Jordan, Kuwait, Palestine, Bahrain and Yemen.
