Kuwait: 47,000 Govt Employees 'Absent' On Feb 23, 24


(MENAFN- Arab Times)  More than 47,000 state employees were absent from their work in various ministries on Feb 23 and 24 prior to the National Day holidays, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources from Civil Service Commission (CSC). They revealed that the various sectors and departments of the ministries will send the list of the absent employees to CSC



They also revealed that CSC will list the names of the doctors who approved sick leaves for the state employees who were supposed to work during the holidays. Meanwhile, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has announced the names of a new batch of 1,191 Kuwaitis (male and female) who are appointed to work in ministries and government institutions if they so desire, reports Al-Seyassah daily



Those selected were registered with the CSC during the 'former' employment period, said the daily. The CSC is said to have informed all applicants about their respective job locations and that they should directly report at their workplace on March 2, 2014, without the need of getting in touch with the CSC
