EU approves support of digital projects with USD1.3b investment


(MENAFN) The European Parliament approved a USD1.37 billion investment in a bid to ort pan-European digital projects and high-speed broadband networks, Xinhua reported



European Parliament members voted in their Plenary session to support the digital part of the Connecting Europe Facility to upgrade the region's transport, energy and digital networks



Vice-President of the European Commission for the Digital Agenda said: "Digital infrastructure matters for the whole economy. So today's vote is not just about telecoms and internet, it's about giving every sector what they need to compete or deliver public services.
