Jordanian Lower House Votes in Favour of Expelling Israeli Ambassador

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The majority of the Jordanian Lower House on Wednesday voted in favour of expelling the Israeli ambassador in Amman and recalling Jordan's ambassador to Israel after the Kensset started a debate to impose Israel's sovereignty over Al Aqsa Mosque compound. Forty seven out of 150 members of the Lower House signed a motion saying it came "in response to Israel's actions in Jerusalem and to the Knesset debate of a law that seeks to impose Israel's sovereignty over Al Aqsa". "Israel's actions clearly violate the peace treaty... it is aggression against Jordanian custodianship," the motion said.
