(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The third edition of Doha Theater Festival (DTF) will be organized during the period 21- 27 March at Qatar National Theatre with the participation of 8 plays. DTF management held a meeting today with the participating theatre groups. The time table of performing the plays before the jury was set during the meeting and the amendments on the bylaws of the festival were announced. The Director of Theatre department in the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage and Chairman of the Higher Committee of the festival, Faleh Al-Ajlan Al-Hageri, said that this edition of DTF will be different from the previous ones. The bylaws of the this edition of DTF were amended for the best of the theatrical movement in Qatar, he said adding that the main objective of organizing the DTF is the development of the Qatari Theater. The artist Saad Boursheed, Head of Theater Department (Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage), during the meeting explained the amendments introduced to the internal regulations of the Festival and approved by HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari. Boursheed said that the winning theatrical groups will perform during cultural weeks in the Arab capital cities in order to benefit from the Arab expertise
