Senators accuse Credit Suisse of allowing tax evasion

Senators Carl Levin and John McCain said Credit Suisse used illegal methods to help 22,000 U.S. customers to avoid paying taxes.  

The permanent subcommittee on investigation (PSI) report released on Tuesday accused the Swiss government of not responding seriously in this aspect.

The Senators said Credit Suisse had contributed into allowing “the largest amount of tax revenue lost due to evasion in the world.” Revealing that it had “greatly profited from this infamous business model.”
