Ireland's Kerry Group trading profit up 9 percent


(MENAFN) Irish dairy giant Kerry Group announced that its trading profit last year increased despite weaker economic conditions in many developed and developing markets, Xinhua reported



The firm said that trading profit increased 9.4 percent to USD838 million, up from USD768.1 million the year before it



Kerry Group Chief Executive said: "The group achieved good underlying growth ahead of our markets in 2013 and a 10.2 percent increase in adjusted earnings per share.



Preliminary results show that Kerry Group's pre-tax profits dropped from USD433.5 to USD166.2 million in 2013
