Pakistan to boost food exports to the UAE


(MENAFN) UAE is expected to import triple amounts of food from Pakistan this year, reaching USD1.2 billion worth compared to USD400 million in 2013, according to Khaleej Times



UAE imports foodstuff from vegetables to meat and frozen products from Pakistan as the latter provides all the needed kinds of food in high quality



Pakistan's Ambassador to the UAE Asif Durrani said: "There is a scope to triple food exports amount," the ambassador said, adding: "All we need to do to start aggressive marketing of our products here [in the UAE].



Durrani added: "I am happy that top companies have come up with aggressive marketing strategy here. Their displays are very good and their products are also very good."
