(MENAFN - Arab Times) A Jordanian expatriate, who had earlier been sentenced to four-year imprisonment, was arrested in Hawally area in possession of drugs. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling the area at night when they noticed an individual driving his vehicle without turning the headlights on. Securitymen stopped him and checked his details to discover he was sentenced to four-year imprisonment for a case.
They checked the vehicle to find drugs including a sachet of heroin, rolled cigarettes and 32 narcotic pills as well as a weighing scale. The suspect was arrested and referred with the illicit items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him. Meanwhile, two Arab cross-dressers were arrested in Salmiya area at night. According to sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling Salmiya area at night when they noticed a few vehicles following a particular vehicle. The vehicles immediately dispersed after they noticed the approaching patrol vehicle. Securitymen stopped the vehicle that was being followed and discovered that the two occupants were Arab crossdressers wearing makeup. They were arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for appropriate action against them.
Ex-con held: The Ahmadi police have arrested a former Kuwaiti criminal for stealing cars, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources the suspect preyed on victims who leave the car engine running and enter shops to buy groceries or medicines in front of grocery shops and pharmacies. Securitymen intensified their efforts after receiving several complaints and arrested the theft who has admitted to stealing three cars in similar fashion. He also guided police to two cars which he had stolen. The suspect added the third car was stolen a few months ago and did not know its whereabouts
