Kuwait needs to deport 280,000 expats per year for 5 years


(MENAFN) A Kuwaiti MP said that his country should deport 280,000 expats per year for the next 5 years so the country can amend its imbalance between foreign workers and locals, Arabian Business reported



MP Dr Khalil Abdullah also noted that such a move would help reduce the strain on the Gulf nation's infrastructure



He said: "There is a critical need to find solutions for the demographic situation in Kuwait.



Expats who are essential to the continued prosperity of the country should be exempt from the deportation, he added
