Vietnam's CPI up 0.55 percent in Feb.


(MENAFN) The Vietnamese consumer price index (CPI) increased in February by 0.55 percent month-on-month, Xinhua reported



The country's General Statistics Office said that the CPI surged 4.65 percent from the corresponding month a year earlier



The statistics office said that prices of nine of the 11 items in the commodity basket increased. The restaurant and food service sector experienced that highest increase as price went up 1.15 percent



The housing and construction materials and the telecommunication sectors were the only sectors to register a decline as prices fell 0.64 percent and 0.02 percent, respectively
