Qatar - HE Culture Minister Hails Twinning Agreement between Doha and Brasilia


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) HE Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari has described the twinning agreement between Doha and Brasilia as one of the most important events this year and would give a boost to relations between Qatar and Brazil.



Talking to reporters on the margin of the agreement signing, HE the Minister said that it was signed in line with the celebrations of the Qatar-Brazil 2014 cultural year, which "we are keen on making its series of events a success



HE the Minister said that 2014 will go down as a memorable year in the history of relations between the two countries, and will have a positive effect on cooperation in economic, social or in the sports field



His Excellency noted that Brazil is currently the cultural capital of the world, and Doha will always be the capital of sports and culture and will be the capital of the world in 202



HE the Minister said that Brazil is a multicultural country, including Brazilians of Arab origin



This is something the Ministry took into account when preparing this year's program, His Excellency added



HE the Minister of Culture stressed on the importance of cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and Qatar Museum Authority led by Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Than



HE the Minister also praised Sheikha Al Mayassa's cultural role in Qatar and around the world.
