(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Omantel recently conducted a forum for the oil and gas sector under the auspices of his H E Engineer Salim bin Nasser al Aufi Undersecretary of Ministry of Oil and Gas, in the presence of Dr Amer al Rawas, CEO,Omantel, and chief executives and senior executives from the oil and gas sector in the Sultanate.
This forum comes as part of Omantel's commitment to meet the executive leaders from the oil and gas sector – being one of the most vibrant sector in the Sultanate – to identify their needs and to discuss ways to enhance the existing relations as well as to identify future projects for this sector.
H E Aufi expressed his delight to Omantel for organising this forum and the useful topics it covered, including the integrated and secured telecommunications network solutions provided by Omantel. H E Aufi also expresses his appreciation for Omantel's efforts in supporting this sector and in particular technology settlement and cost cutting of few services. The forum started with a presentation by Dr Rawas who focused on Omantel's efforts in linking Oman with the rest of the globe, through its high quality national and international network cables.
The presentations also covered how technology can be employed to provide better services to customers. Omantel's CEO presentation was followed by another presentation from Todd Dick, vice president, corporate business unit, Omantel, who highlighted the important needs of oil and gas sector and how Omantel services have contributed to the development of this sector. Dick reiterated the company's commitment to build strong partnerships with oil and gas companies through a suite of solutions, managed services and excellent post-sales service.
