Over 40 professionals take part in Oman HR meet


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Over 40 human resource professionals from Oman, the region and across the world are taking part in the two-day HR event, ‘Oman HR and Nationalisation 2014', which began on Sunday at Park Inn Hotel.


It was opened by Dr Hammad bin Hamad Ghaferi, advisor in the Ministry of Civil Service (MoCS).


Dr Ghaferi was joined by H E Sayyid Salim bin Musallam al Busaidi, Undersecretary for administrative development affairs in MoCS.


Other dignitaries present at the event were Mohammed Said al Hajri, HR director, MoCS, Said Bashir al Hinai, assistant manager, for planning and development, Ministry of Manpower, Badria Ahmed Said al Hatali, head of training, Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources and Mohammed al Rahbi, HR manager, Ministry of Justice.


Best-selling author, international trainer and people development strategist, Basem al Attar, delivered the keynote lecture on ‘Explosive people development ¨C Employing simple strategies to develop your people faster than you thought possible'.


The morning session concluded with a cross-industry panel session on the topic: ‘Can a strong brand image affect whether Omanis are drawn to your organisation?'
