Australia's Qantas expects USD300 m loss in Q2


(MENAFN) Australian Qantas plans to cut workforce by 3,000 workers, and sell planes and terminals as the national carrier is expected to report USD300 million half-year loss, according to Arabian Business



The national carrier is expected to apply its job cut on Thursday, said the airline's boss Alan Joyce



The company has flagged a 1000 job cut in December, and announced an expected net loss of USD250-USD300 million for the second half of 2013 on the back of the "toughest market conditions it had ever faced"
