(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) Three people were killed and 14 others were wounded as a result of the suicide bombing that hit a military checkpoint in Hermel area, northeast Lebanon, Saturday evening. Media reports had said that the bombing, apparently a suicide attack, resulted in deaths and injuries among the military personnel manning the post. Prime Minister Tammam Salam strongly condemned the attack as an extraordinary act of terrorism since it targeted the army, one of the country's most important institutions. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims, the military institution and the entire nation, and wished early recovery for the wounded
