SCH to Launch Immunization Drive for Students on Sunday


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) will launch a national campaign for vaccination against diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis. Organized in collaboration with the Supreme Education Council (SEC) and primary health care institution, the drive, which begins tomorrow and continues until March 6, will target students of secondary schools (Grade 10) in all independent, private and community schools in Qatar. Dr Mohammed Al Hajri, Director of Health Protection and Communicable Diseases Control at SCH, said that the campaign comes within the framework of the SCH's keenness on student safety and protecting them from infectious diseases, and is an implementation of the Council's plans to control communicable diseases.
