Moderate Quake Hits Northern Algeria


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) A moderate earthquake measuring 4.5 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Algeria's northern province of Boumerdes, some 50 km to the east of here, last night. The Algerian Center for Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics Geophysics located the epicenter of the tremor 27 km to the north of Dellys District in the province. Residents of four nearby provinces felt the tremor which cause neither human nor material damage, according to a statement by the civil defense corp
