(MENAFN- Arab Times) Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor will soon establish a Public Authority for Manpower while the name of its Director General will be revealed before mid of March, reports Al-Anba daily quoting ministerial sources. They indicated that the budget of the authority for the next fiscal year will not be included in the budget of the ministry
They added that the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank of Kuwait and the Civil Service Commission are currently working on transferring the employees' files from the Labor Sector to the authority. Meanwhile, the Assistant Undersecretary for Projects of Power Stations and Water Distillation Plants of Ministry of Electricity and Water Eng. Eyad Al- Falah affirmed that the project for generating electricity using solar energy will be implemented in April, reports Al-Seyassah daily
He stressed that the project will be the first of its kind for Ministry of Electricity and Water and it lacks the experience to write the specifications of such projects, indicating that the ministry has planned many projects for application of solar energy to generate electricity. Eng Al-Falah revealed that a committee had been formed to study the project, which issued a report that will soon be approved. He said the project will highlight the tremendous efforts exerted by the country to produce clean energy, expecting the production of the project to cover 20 percent of the country's need for electricity in 20 years. He indicated that such projects will open up job vacancies in the local labor market

Meanwhile, Eng Al-Falah said the Abdaliya project for producing electricity using alternative energy will be finalized in 2018, as the project's plan has been completed and the consultants for the project have been recruited. He added that the feasibility of the project is being studied to prepare the tender. In the meantime, some company owners are trying to mislead the officials of Kuwait Municipality by establishing new companies or changing the commercial names and addresses of their companies in order to avoid paying the dues they owe the Municipality, reports Al- Kuwaitiah daily quoting informed sources.
They explained that the Municipality stressed the need for notifying the Ministry of Commerce and Industry the names of the concerned companies, linking the Civil ID of the legal representative of the company to the company file and preventing the issuance of new commercial licenses or change of commercial names and addresses of the companies until the dues are paid. Meanwhile, sources insisted that a circular regarding this matter has to be issued and sent to the concerned governmental agencies and ministries while an electronic link must be established from the Municipality and Public Authority of Social Insurance to the Ministry of Justice for studying the social case of each employee due to lack of reporting of the changes to the situation of the employees
