Singapore's budget surplus expected to hit USD3.1b


(MENAFN) Singapore's budget surplus is expected to reach USD3.1 billion for the fiscal year 2013, Xinhua reported



The Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister said that the surplus is around 1.1 percent of the gross domestic product of the country



The surplus is due to factors including temporary delays in implementation of public infrastructure projects, the minister said



In 2013, Singapore economy expanded by 4.1 percent versus a growth of 1.9 percent in 2012
