(MENAFN -Arab News) Riyadh police have discovered a burglars? den in the north of Riyadh, which led to the arrest of five Pakistanis and a Saudi man.
Items recovered during the bust of the organized crime ring included vehicles, copper cables, three iron safes and a container load of auto-parts. The robbers were in the habit of storing their stolen things in the resort and selling the stolen goods at cheaper prices.
The investigators said the Saudi man is the local sponsor who had conducted robberies with the help of his official employees. The thieves were operating from a holiday resort in the suburbs of the capital to avoid running into people.
According to the police, the age group of those arrested ranges between 40 and 55 years. The suspects were arrested when a police patrol noticed suspicious activities inside a holiday resort, where the burglars lived. The police car followed the vehicle that went into the compound to unload stolen goods. The suspects were arrested there.
On the completion of investigation, police will produce the suspects before a court with their loot.
