Malaysian Airline considers 100 plan order


(MENAFN) Malaysian Airline System is planning for a 100 plane order in a bid to fend off competition following three years of losses, Times of Oman reported



The carrier is looking for a range of short-haul and long-haul models from Airbus and Boeing, and a decision may be reached by the mid-year



The state-run company is looking to take deliveries from later 2016 or early 2017, as it plans to upgrade its fleet in the following decade



An analyst at Maybank Investment Bank said: "It's the right thing to do given the competition in the industry.
