(MENAFN) China's Tibet Autonomous Region registered a trade volume of USD3.3 billion last year, Xinhua reported
The region's largest trade partners were Nepal, Malaysia and that US. Trade volume with Nepal hit USD1.9 billion, while with Malaysia it reached USD196 million and with the US it came at USD176 million
The commodities exported by Tibet included clothing, apples, ginger, and other agricultural products. Import commodities were mainly of metal statues, carpets, and knitting machines
The region's foreign trade in 2012 touched USD3.42 billion, logging a 152 percent increase from the year before it
