(MENAFN - Arab Times) Ministry of Interior Undersecretary Lieutenant General Sulaiman Al-Fahad has affirmed the need for security operatives to uphold the right and legal procedures in arresting, investigating and prosecuting people suspected of involvement in crimes, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Al-Fahad made the statement during his recent inspection tour of the Criminal Security Department to personally update himself on its activities and ascertain level of readiness to deal with any case



He also urged the officers to use advanced technology in tracking down and arresting suspects. Senior officers who received him during the tour included Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Major General Abdul-Hamid Al-Awadhi, Director General of the Criminal Evidences Department Major General Dr Fahad Al-Dousari, Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department Brigadier Mahmoud Al-Tabbakh, acting Director General of Drug Control General Department Brigadier Saleh Al- Ghannam and other directors with their deputies




Speaking about the tour, Al-Awadhi assured that the security agencies will continue with strong will and unrelenting efforts to stabilize security in the country. He highlighted series of activities according to the laid down mechanisms. He disclosed the agencies have accomplished their goals and maintained order through comprehensive strategies towards maximizing security performance through the combined efforts of all concerned authorities



Meanwhile, Al-Dousari reiterated that efforts of the operatives were manifested in the clampdown on financial crimes, cheating and protection of public moral within the past few years. He added the officers have controlled fraudulent and counterfeiting activities, citing the arrest of many people engaged in counterfeiting currencies and forging official documents
