Arab-African Committee Meets in Kuwait

(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) Arab and African officials, meeting within the Arab-African Partnership Coordination Committee, met on Tuesday to follow up implementation of the third Afro-Arab Summit that was held in Kuwait last year. Ambassador Abdulhameed Al-Failakawi, Director of the Arab World Department at the Foreign Ministry, chairman of the meeting, said the Afro-Arab summit was characterized with three initiatives launched by Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. All three initiatives, said Al-Failakawi, "carry a noble objective and it is the development and prosperity of the African continent." The initiatives, he explained, were about offering easy loans for the African countries, investment and developments, reported the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA. Kuwait's Ambassador to the Arab League Aziz Al-Daihani said today's meeting reflected Kuwait's keenness to translate resolutions of the Afro-Arab summit into action as well as honoring aspirations of leaders and people of the two countries.
