Bahrain Launches Ship Registry Portal


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Bahrain Tuesday officially launched its Ship Registry Portal (SRP) for ship owners registered under Bahrain's Ship Registry, The Ministry of Transport (MoT) integrates latest technology into business practice in consonance with the Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030, the Ministry's Port and Maritime Affairs said today, according to Bahrain News Agency.



The SRP offers users various services via the web and provides notices and alerts to ship owners on the status of their applications and other update



The portal also includes a payment gateway that enables users to pay any licenses or other associated fee



The MoT's Acting Undersecretary for Ports and Maritime Affairs, Hassan Al Majed said, "Our goal apply latest technologies to enhance services, support to customers and interactions with our stakeholders." This system is one of the first of its kind in the worl



It is as an important step in placing Bahrain as an open ship registry, and positions the Kingdom as a forerunner in the industry, he added
