StanChart appoints Gurchi Kadan as Oman CEO


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Standard Chartered has appointed Gurchi Kadan as chief executive officer for its operations in Oman.


He will replace Lamin Manjang who will become the chief executive of Standard Chartered in Kenya. Lamin has been leading Standard Chartered's operations in Oman since July 2012.


Christos Papadopoulos, regional chief executive officer for the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan and chairman of Standard Chartered Saadiq, said, ''The Bank is one of Oman's oldest banks and we have forged strong relationships with our clients . Gurchi is a very experienced banker and his leadership will further deepen our client relationships in Oman. Lamin has done a great job in growing our presence in Oman and I am confident that Gurchi will play a key role in further leading our business to a new level.''
