Wales' weak centre worrying McBryde

(MENAFN- Kora) Scott Williams (shoulder) has been ruled out of the remainder of the Six Nations, leaving Jamie Roberts as Wales' only fit specialist centre

Beck (hip) and Davies (pectoral) are both sidelined as Wales refuse to rush the duo back for Friday's clash against France in Cardiff

Wales need a response against the French after their 26-3 loss to Ireland left them with a 1-1 win-loss record in this year's Six Nations and fourth in the table

"He (Davies) is not going to be available for Wales on Friday but there is a possibility he will play for the Scarlets this weekend to have some more game time," McBryde said

"Ashley trained with us last week and played for the Ospreys yesterday but he is not quite ready for international intensity

"He felt he would not be doing himself justice. In conjunction with the Ospreys we are working closely with Ashley

"He has been pretty honest with himself

"We are a bit thin in the centre and people know the names of the individuals within the squad

"There has been no definitive decision made and everyone is well aware of our lack of strength in depth in that position currently.
