(MENAFN - Arab Times) A specialized committee in the Ministers Council is currently conducting a comprehensive study on the possibility of unifying the financial benefits granted to employees in the government and non-government agencies in a bid to encourage Kuwaitis to work in the private sector, reports Al- Anba daily quoting sources. Sources explained the abovementioned step is part of efforts to address the unemployment problem in the country. In a related development, sources said the Ministry of Finance has asked other government agencies to focus on finding alternative sources of income. They added the ministry also stressed the need to impose fees on the usage of State properties as a way to increase national revenues rather than depending totally on oil as source of income. Meanwhile, sources confirmed the recent developments in the global community have prompted the ministry to specify the maximum price for oil. Sources said this is a precautionary measure in case the price of oil drops remarkably; treby, fixing the price at 65 per barrel for the overall budget

KUWAIT CITY: The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor has started a comprehensive study on the regulations in welfare homes as part of efforts to lay down a new mechanism to oblige the inmates to respect the specified time for them to return to the welfare homes, reports Al- Rai daily quoting sources. Sources explained this step was taken after the ministry noticed the repetitive violation of the regulations, especially among the children who do not return to the homes on time. Sources said the ministry is keen on addressing the problem before it is blown out of proportion, up to the extent that it will negatively affect the inmates and the society. Sources added the study covers all aspects of the issue like the reasons behind the reluctance of some people to work in welfare homes and deterioration of the academic performance of the inmates, especially since they are in different educational levels
