(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday met visiting US Secretary of State John Kerry.
Sheikh Mohamed and Kerry discussed relations and cooperation between the UAE and the US as well as a range of issues of mutual concern
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed latest regional and international developments where the two sides reviewed ongoing efforts to achieve peace and security in the region and recognized the need for continuous consultations and coordination in this regard
They also underscored that serious dialogue and constructive understanding are the adequate mechanisms to address and resolve all crises and issues in the region
The two sides discussed the humanitarian crisis in Syrian and results of the recently concluded Geneva II Conference on Syria, in addition to the situation in Egypt, where they stressed the importance of realizing political and economic stability there
They discussed, as well, the talks between Iran and the Group 51 in Vienna next week, which seek to reach an inclusive agreement on Iran's nuclear program, in addition to current efforts to revive Middle East peace talks.
