(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Entrepreneur's Conclave 2014 will be held at the Oman Sail, Wave Muscat on March 29, 2014, to support small and medium Enterprises (SMEs) by providing them with a platform to build relationships and do business. It will also offer a networking arena for individuals and organisations involved in all types of SMEs.
The event organiser, Experiment Events, announced the launch of the conclave at a press conference held at the Oman Sail, Wave Muscat, on Monday. With Omran and Sharakah as strategic partners, the conclave is poised to lend young entrepreneurs who have been in business for the past 18 months to five years, a helping hand.
The conclave, planned as an annual management activity, was created keeping in mind the inherent elements of enterprise in order to heighten the sense of business participation and involvement. The event is aimed at finding promising entrepreneurs in the nation, and simultaneously identifying key mentors from a list of successful entrepreneurs from within the country, who will together participate in a regatta to learn the ropes and, in the process, discover investment platforms and ways of raising capital for existing businesses. Zameel Ameen, managing director, Experiment Events, said: ''The idea of having such an activity is to provide young entrepreneurs with increased access to knowledge, technology, networking, and efficient instruments for the realization of their business projects.''
''Also, this initiative will help to create an open site for interaction and experience exchange between young entrepreneurs and authorities from successful business structures,'' commented Ameen.
The leading entrepreneurs, including Qais al Khonji, Etab Zadjali and Hassan Juma, will be brand ambassadors of the event that will feature interactive road shows, exclusive registration processes, an exciting regatta competition, extensive social media activity, in-depth radio announcements, and a gala dinner hosted for the top three winners.
To be part of this initiative, participants have to register online at www.experiment-events.com and explain and submit details of their existing business agenda. The selection criteria will essentially be vigourous, with a focus on high potential of benefiting the economy in the long run.
Ten candidates selected after a thorough screening process by the jury will thereafter team up with established senior entrepreneurs in Oman for a case-study solving exercise and a regatta competition. This partnership will educate young candidates on the attitudes, mannerisms and thought processes of a true entrepreneur.
From within the regatta competition, three candidates will be shortlisted and given a chance to showcase their unique business plan to a select jury, comprising industry leaders and senior entrepreneurs, which will then to vote for and declare the winner.
The winner gets an open opportunity to network and learn from established and successful entrepreneurs in Oman with a chance to solve a specific case study, followed by a challenging sailing session; showcase their company credentials to a pre-select panel of investors at the gala dinner to raise required capital for the business; space to promote their company at the event; and finally one, from amongst the best three, will be nominated as the Brand Ambassador for ‘Entrepreneur's Conclave 2015'.
