India's deficit expected to hit 4.6 percent of GDP


(MENAFN) The Indian Finance Minister said that the deficit in the fiscal year 2013\2014 is estimated to come at 4.6 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP), Xinhua reported



The finance minister said: "Our objectives were fiscal consolidation, reviving growth cycle and enhancing manufacturing.



The economic growth for the year is expected to be at 4.9 percent, the minister added



The minister said that his country was able to outperform other emerging market in the fiscal year
