Investment in Malaysia hit USD12b, breaks record


(MENAFN) Investment in Malaysia hit its highest record ever last year as it increased to USD12 billion, Xinhua reported



The country's International Trade and Industry Minister said: "We are not only dependent on foreign investments, but also the contribution from domestic investors.



Foreign investors were bringing the country sophisticated technologies in the services and high technology sectors, while domestic investors are important to the real estate, construction and tourism sectors, the minister said



Malaysia is expected to maintain the robust investment trend this year as the domestic economy is gaining strength
