Cambodia economy expected to grow 7 percent in 2014


(MENAFN) The Cambodian Prime Minister said that the country's economic growth is expected to be over 7 percent this year, Xinhua reported



The Prime Minister said: "The country is expected to achieve over 7 percent GDP growth this year after it had achieved 7.3 percent and 7.6 percent growth in 2012 and 2013 respectively.



The International Monetary Fund (IMF) had earlier forecasted that the country's economy would expand by 7.2 percent in 2014, as a result of a boost in exports, tourism, and construction



Inflation is expected to remain low this year due to food and fuel being stable
