Irving leads East past West


(MENAFN- Kora) In a record-breaking game - the 318 combined points was the most ever in NBA All-Star history € MVP Kyrie Irving (31 points, 14 assists) and Carmelo Anthony (30 points) led the East to victory



The West led by 13 points at half-time but could not hold off the East in the second half



In the second half of the third quarter, the East went on a 22-9 run to move within three points of the West with a term to play and then pushed on to win by eight points



LeBron James (22 points) and Paul George (18) were also important contributors for the victors, while Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant (both 38) led the way for the Western Conference



The Eastern Conference's 163 points was the most scored by one team in All-Star history, while Griffin and Durant went within four points of breaking the record for the highest individual tally
