(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC), the master developer of ports and industrial zones, plans to develop its five ports in the region, according to Arab News



ADPC has already started its new USD7.35 million investment in Al-Gharbia region of Abu Dhabi over the last year



The company aims to boost local industries and support the port communities



Al Gharbia, which is rich in natural resources such as palm trees, pearls, oil, gas and solar energy, contributes 45 percent of the emirate's GDP



ADPC invested more than USD7.350 million in the region last year, including USD2.041 million in Mugharrag Port, USD4.627 million at Marfa Port and USD0.680 million for the first phase of development at Delma Port
