(MENAFN - Arab Times) Kuwait Finance House (KFH) today announced the launch of the KFH-Nojoom co-branded MasterCard Prepaid Card in collaboration with Wataniya Telecom. The new card is aimed at encouraging the bank's customers to use their prepaid cards for local and overseas purchases, and is in line with KFH's commitment to introduce innovative and customized payment solutions that complement cardholders' lifestyles.

"KFH-Nojoom is a co-branded prepaid card that has been developed in collaboration with MasterCard and Wataniya Telecom and it offers Nojoom members an opportunity to earn reward points when using the card locally or abroad," said Mohammad Al-Fouzan, Chief Retail Banking Officer, Kuwait Finance House. "These points can be redeemed in the form of free minutes from Wataniya in addition to many gifts from redemption partners. The card contributes in strengthening relationships with Kuwaiti corporations, thus serving clients and offering them competitive privileges and splendid discounts.

Co-branded

Al-Fouzan added that once the card is activated, the client will be granted 3333 points bonus and 4 points for every purchase worth KD 1. Clients are granted a wide range of redemption options, including talk time, clothes, electronics, air tickets, fuel, restaurants, meals and more. He further explained that the KFH-Nojoom co-branded MasterCard Prepaid Card allows cardholders to take advantage of 50% discount at 500 stores, and grants automatic membership of the Privilege Club card to avail of up to 25% discounts at Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn restaurants.

The KFH-Nojoom co-branded MasterCard Prepaid Card is accepted by over 10 million merchants and ATM machines worldwide, and is equipped with 3D secure service to ensure secure onlinepayments. The card also offers SMS Baitak service for cardholders to keep track of transactions outside Kuwait, standing order options, and giving them several chances to win prizes from KFH. Al-Fouzan went on to say that cardholders will also enjoy the privileges of various MasterCard promotions

"It's not conditional to have a KFH account to apply for a KFH-Nojoom MasterCard Prepaid Card. All Wataniya Telecom clients and Nojoom members are eligible to acquire the card if the client is 18 years old or above," Al Fouzan said

Furthermore, Al-Fouzan mentioned that this card is a safer option than carrying money, and allows clients to control their expenses. He noted that KFH has always been keen to reinforce its market share by raising awareness amongst clients about the importance of using electronic payment solutions, especially since this is fast becoming a global trend. He applauded, on the side line of the launch at KFH headquarters, the bank's collaboration with Wataniya Telecom, and praised the efforts of the team to make this promotion successful.

"We are delighted to collaborate with Kuwait Finance House and Al Wataniya Telecom to launch this card. The KFH-Nojoom co-branded MasterCard Prepaid Card offers cardholders a host of benefits and privileges that meet their unique needs" said Pankaj Kathuria, area head for Southern Gulf, MasterCard. "We will continue to work closely with our partners to provide innovative and relevant solutions that make payments safer, securer, and more convenient for everyone.

Moreover, clients can check their card balance through many channels, such as KFHonline, Allo Baitak, ATM machines and KFH branches. In addition, they can check Nojoom rewards points balance by visiting www.wataniya.com/rewards
