(MENAFN Press) Bayt.com, the Middle East's number one job site, has been named as one of the Top Companies to Work for in the UAE by the Great Place to Work Institute, for the fourth consecutive year. In a listing of the UAE's top 15 employers that is based on information gathered by the Great Place to Work Institute, a global research and management consultancy, the job site is ranked 8th.

"We believe that it is the application of our mission, vision and values in every aspect of our company culture that has earned us a position in the Top Ten Places to Work in the UAE for the fourth consecutive year," said Rabea Ataya, CEO, Bayt.com. "People are at the heart of our business and we place great pride in ensuring that our people are empowered and inspired at every step of the way within a friendly and supportive environment. This award came in recognition of Bayt.com's longstanding efforts in promoting an employee-centric culture where trust, camaraderie and open communications are pillars of our success.

Employees at Bayt.com benefit from a cheerful and happy work environment, designed to ensure productivity, efficiency, and professional fulfillment across the MENA-wide network of offices. Employees, referred to internally as 'Baytheads', enjoy among other perks, a systematic approach to training and development, including monthly internal training schedules and generous external training allowances; regular team-building activities; flexible working hours for mothers; and a 'kind culture', where values are centered around earning the admiration and respect of others. In 2013, many new initiatives were introduced to make all Bayt.com offices even more inspiring, including book corners with titles related to business, technology, and self-improvement; creative spaces to encourage innovative thinking in a comfortable environment; and game rooms stocked with foosball and ping pong tables, dartboards, and console boxes.

"This year more than ever, coming to the office every morning is exciting, inspiring, and challenging. The overall feeling throughout our offices is that employees are involved in something much bigger and better than just a job “ they are involved in making the region a better, richer, and more prosperous place through facilitating a more transparent and robust jobs marketplace and recruitment arena ," continued Ataya.

Rankings for the Great Place to Work are calculated based on the confidential feedback of employees and an audit of management practices. Two-thirds of the company's score is based on the results of the Institute's Trust Index survey, which is sent to the employees from each company. The survey asks questions related to their attitudes about the management's credibility, employee engagement, and job satisfaction. The other third of the scoring is based on the company's responses to the Institute's Culture Audit, which includes detailed questions about pay and benefits programs and a series of open-ended questions about hiring, communication, and development
