Saudi USD77.8 b consumer loans the highest in GCC


(MENAFN) Saudi took the biggest portion among the GCC in consumer loans to reach USD77.8 billion in the third quarter of 2013, according to Arab News



Kuwait ranked second in consumer-loan receivers during the same quarter reaching USD38.6 billion, or 21.6 percent of total loans



The volume of personal loans of the GCC citizens reached USD304.7 billion in the third quarter of 2013, registering a 12.9 percent rise compared to the same period in 2012



The volume of direct-consumption loans was estimated at USD179 billion in the quarter, or 17.2 percent higher from the same quarter in 2012
