Saudi transport firms' revenue rises 27 percent in 2013


(MENAFN) Saudi transport companies registered a 27 percent rise in revenues in 2013, according to Arab News



Total revenues reached as much as USD575 million compared to USD453 million in 2012.



Net profits of the listed transport companies grew by 51 percent reaching USD282 million during the same twelve-month period compared to USD188 million in 2012



Revenue of the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) was the highest among the companies, which were estimated at USD311 million in 2013 compared to USD227 million in 2012



The company's net profit increased 48.43 percent to reach USD199 million
